Roger Saul, the owner of Sharpham Park and the Scandianvian Chef, Trine Hahnemann have created a brand new vegetarian recipe for the Town Hall Lunch at Wells Food Festival.


Sharpham Park Vegetable Speltotto; a delicious combination of Pearled Spelt, squash, mushrooms, lovage, parsley, garlic and olive oil will be on the menu at the sell-out event for 140 guests.

Sharpham Park is donating its delicious and tasty Pearled Spelt, which is as versatile as rice, to make the recipe. The dedicated organic spelt farm near Glastonbury is also selling its range of products at the artisan producers' market.

The festival on Sunday 20th October is a celebration of the best of Somerset's autumn produce in Wells, the heart of rural Somerset. It will be centred on Wells historic market square and there will be 50 artisan producers from a 25 mile radius of the city. Why not come along and try some of our delicious and healthy spelt?

The festival will also feature a 'Question Time' style food debate in the beautiful Bishop's Barn; cookbook talks and signings; a foodie pub quiz; a vintage tea party; cider, beer and wine bar and a choice of great Sunday lunches. Trine Hahnemann is the author of the bestselling books `The Scandinavian Cookbook' and `The Nordic Diet'. Trine is one of more than thirty chefs taking part in Sharpham Park's campaign with Bowel Cancer UK.
